November 28, 2017 Board Meeting Agenda Item #45 Title APPROVAL OF DESIGN-BUILD CONTRACT WITH MAGNUM BUILDERS OF SARASOTA, INC., FOR THE VENICE HIGH SCHOOL-ADA DOOR UPGRADES 2017 DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Description Provide design services for Americans with Disabilities (ADA) power access doors at several building locations; Administration (West and East entries), Classroom (entry from Courtyard), Gymnasium (West to Corridor), Cafeteria (NE entry) and VPA (entry from Courtyard); and provide construction services at the Administration Building to install power door operation and access control to doors #01-101 and #04-100 at the Venice High School campus. This contract has been approved by the School Board attorney and is available for review at the Construction Services Department. Funds for this project are contained in the 2017/18 Facilities Services Department budget, project 5540-Small Projects and Planning Department budget, project 5540-Small Projects. Recommendation That the Design-Build Contract for the Venice High School-ADA Door Upgrades 2017 Design & Construction project be approved as presented.
